Before Endodontic Treatment
It’s important to eat a full breakfast or lunch, depending on the time of your appointment, to ensure you’re comfortable during the procedure.
Please continue taking your prescribed medications for conditions such as blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems, or any other medical conditions, as recommended by your physician.
If your physician or dentist has advised you to take antibiotics before certain procedures due to mitral valve prolapse (MVP), heart murmur, prosthetic joints, or other conditions like rheumatic heart disease, please ensure you have taken the appropriate antibiotic on the day of your appointment.
If you’re able to take ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen sodium (Aleve), we recommend taking 2 tablets of either medication 2–4 hours before your treatment to help reduce inflammation.
Your procedure will be performed using local anesthesia, and typically, there are no restrictions on driving or returning to work afterward. Dr. Oller or his dental assistant are always available for consultation if any issues arise following your treatment.
